Jerry, you are living on foreign soil, separated from this great nation by a vast ocean and many thousands of miles yet you still feel the patriotic stirrings of what it is to be an American. This proves that being a patriotic American runs to the very core of who and what we are. It proves that the principles laid down in the Declaration of Independence are universal and define us and our attitudes so completely. May you enjoy this day, the day we celebrate the birth of our nation, to the fullest. In the mean time, we'll try to keep at least part of this state unburned for your return.
