Debra Katz, a lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford, said on Friday that "artificial limits" should not be placed on the FBI as it reopens its background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

"No artificial limits as to time or scope should be imposed on this investigation," Katz said in a statement.

There ya go. Right now it's a week. In a few days they're gonna be screaming for more time. This is why they should've been told to take their FBI investigation and shove it up their ass. This bullshit from the democrats will never end until Kavanaugh either withdraws his nomination or Trump decides to pull him out.

Now Maryland is jumping on the bandwagon. I wondered when that was gonna happen. All this over an alleged misdemeanor that occurred 36 years ago.

Authorities in Maryland on Friday said they were prepared to conduct a state-level criminal investigation into sexual assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh -- provided that a victim comes forward.

The disclosure by Montgomery County Police Chief J. Thomas Manger and Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy came Friday, the same day that President Trump ordered the FBI to conduct a limited "supplemental" investigation.

But Manger and McCarthy noted that prosecution was unlikely in Maryland because authorities would have to apply the law that existed at the time of the offense, not the law that exists now, Baltimore's FOX 45 News reported.

“For example, in 1982, assault and attempted rape were both misdemeanors and subject to a one-year statute of limitations,” they wrote.

I honestly haven't been following this ass clown circus as closely as many of you. But with a delay, doesn't it just make the Democrats look even more childish and desperate? It'll be a week more of whining, blatant and transparent lies, and more silly accusations. We all see through this crap, even Democrats who are spouting all this nonsense. But they ARE desperate, and rightfully so, so they kinda have to do it in their minds because means and ends and all that. Right and wrong don't mean shit in politics.

Republicans have never done what democrats are doing. Not in the last 100 years anyway. The worst example the democrats can bring up is Merrick Garland. With him, McConnell just refused to schedule a vote. Nothing more. There was no character assassination and wild claims of sexual assault from anonymous victims.

Democrats have done it over and over. They have a long track record of using this tactic...during my lifetime anyway.

This is the same "news" that's been reported for over a week. Local LE is saying they have received nothing but will look into it. Huge problem for accusers when the Dims shriek "INVESTIGATE!!!" and they won't even file police reports with the agencies that have jurisdiction.

I pointed out pages ago, they want the FBI to do the accuser's dirty work. I think this too will backfire.

The SoL analysis I've seen has been contradictory. Maybe our LEOs/legal experts can enlighten me? But it would seem LE can take a report even if SoL is up. SoL/charging determinations are made by DAs, right?

Internet sleuths are off of work and digging today. If you follow socials, you'll see some of it. There are discrepancies on the timing of the house remodel (which Ford claimed triggered her memories). She claimed '12 but it looks like '08 according to Google street view.

Keyser (Ford's HS BFF) has reiterated she does not recall the party or the assault. The is the second witness to indicate they are sticking to their initial story in light of an FBI investigation. The attorney tried hard to add narrative which Libs are taking to mean the witness supports Ford's claim (actually the exact opposite).

Huge argument on if this is actually exculpatory. Since Ford named Keyser as a key witness and BFF, I think it is. Had Kavanaugh named her, BFD.

New: Leland Keyser’s lawyer tells Judiciary she will cooperate with FBI. Reiterates she doesn’t remember the party or know Kavanaugh, and adds: “Notably, Ms. Keyser does not refute Dr. Ford's account, and she has already told the press that she believes Dr. Ford's account.“

“However, the simple and unchangeable truth is that she is unable to corroborate it because she has no recollection of the incident in question.”

If witness testimony doesn't change (and it isn't), you can expect lots of dirty tricks in the next week. Dims will need to invent more controversy.

Lots of talk about how Ford's name/story was leaked to media after Feinstein denied it Thursday. Speculation is that some other Dim did it. Nothing solid and media won't talk.

I think this shows how Libs really view Ford treating it this way. You can half-way respect Feinstein for not leaking (if she didn't) out of care for Ford but some Lib said "fuck this woman, we need to stop Kavanaugh!" and everyone else followed suit.

What I have heard Libs say is that allowing state/local prosecution of crimes is a way to get Trump because they can't get around his executive authority. Of course we know that is nuts because they haven't found anything to charge Trump on in two years in any court.

A constructionist view of double jeopardy would like decide in favor of Gamble. Constitution matters and all that. Libs want us subject to multiple levels of prosecutorial discretion. Which is unsurprising given how they have weaponized government.
