    Default GPS phone app

Does anybody know of an Android app that allows the user to enter coordinates to go find? It seems like everything out there is oriented to people who want to drive to the nearest Starbucks or whatever. I'm looking for something that will lead you to the "X" on a map. If it costs a few buck that's ok.

Google maps has that functionality, but it can be a little weird to work with. I've used it to direct people to a remote campsite.

I use Backcountry navigator for my out of the city navigation needs. It should have that functionality.

I also use the paid backcountry navigator pro.

Steep learning curve, but very full featured.

That feature is probably the easiest one it has.

P.S. Just noticed the latest Android S8 update (VZW) now has WiFi calling.

Thanks. I usually use my old Magellan. I've had it a lot longer than I've had a smart phone. I'll try to figure out the Google Maps and then possibly try the Backcountry Navigator.

Yeah I noticed that as well, I can only think of a couple scenarios I may use it in, but handy none the less.

I like Google maps. Download an area and can be used offline with a phone with GPS reciever.

Maps seem to be the most up to date NFS or USGS maps. Better than garmin's.

Just read this article. If this isn't for you, they list other popular apps.

I use Onx hunt maps on my phone and GPS, you can enter coords and go. It's like $30.00/ year for phone and $100.00 for GPS chip.
