Default 141 counts of arson for failing to put out camp fire.

I get that this guy is a bit of a DB, and likely has mental issues. That said I'm at a loss as to how this is a reasonable way to charge him. Especially since 148 homes were destroyed. Were 7 freebies. Or did they have some contributory negligence? I'm curios as to the justification is going to be. He said he thought it was out. Is that not a bit of defense?

If he weren't here illegally, we wouldn't have all of these unanswered questions.

If Hillary isn't even worth indicting for espionage because she didn't intend to spill classified data into dirty-internet e-mail, then I don't see how this could be arson.

    ;-)

I really like the "7 were freebies" bit.

We are in a stage 2 fire ban down here. No open burning, no fireworks, you are supposed to smoke in doors or in a vehicle. I don't know why he wasn't charged with the other 7 houses. What about the livestock and other animals that were burn alive? He caused millions of dollars in damage, destroying peoples dream homes and livelyhoods. He even shut down a town for over a week, causing people across the country to loose their vacations. The businesses lost a lot, and may never recover. Vacationers have all ready been saying they don't want to come see a burn scar.

If he or anyone else wants to go against the fire ban, then suffer the consequences.

The burn ban levels are announced everywhere; local media talks about them every day, it's online, and they've even been announcing it via those light-up road signs on every major highway.

I have a hard time working up much sympathy for this guy.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

Wasn’t Terry Barton only charged with one federal count of arson and one state count?

Barton served five years in prison for sparking the blaze and remains on probation. She owes tens of millions of dollars in restitution.
2002 Hayman Fire which led to Gov. Owens to declare the whole state was burning

By the time firefighters gained control of the Hayman fire — more than one month after it began — it had charred 137,760 acres in Park, Teller, Jefferson and Douglas counties, a footprint nearly twice as large as Colorado’s second-biggest fire. On one day alone, it ran 19 miles. It put up a smoke plume so massive that it created its own weather.

Barton should have been put down like a rabid dog, just like this asshole.
