The nice thing is that ND allows you to "mute" the people that tend to make trouble, insult, or further obstruct the spirit of the site.

The majority of people are good. Good people far outnumber the evil people. I am happy for you and your son. I hope you actually met a few nice people face to face. On-line is an introduction to relationship for many people today. I wish you success in finding ways to convey personal safety to your son. If it takes you a thousand tries to keep him safe it will be only a little effort compared to the goal.

I tried ND, but couldn't stand the low signal to noise ratio. I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised if people spent more time attacking your parenting abilities than actually trying to find your child.
