    I bought one awhile back and found if anything, it's TOO strong. You have kind of a hard time pulling the gun straight off the magnet. You almost have to pull it sideways and up to free it, and after awhile, it F's up your gun's finish from dragging it.

    Then again, mine is only holding a .38 revolver, not a full frame Colt or anything.

    Great info guys! I was hoping there would be a few guys on here who had them. The finish issue should be pretty simple to solve by putting even one layer of t-shirt over the magnet, especially if it is too strong. This is good to know.

    avoid these unless you want your gun to turn into a transformer and turn against you. remember, guns have a mind of their own

    I say get one..

    Put a rope on it, and dredge lakes...

    You can put on an eye patch and say "Arrrrrrrgh" a lot also..

    I've thought about trying Velcro under my desk. The magnet would be nice in the shop because it could hold tools as well.
