Don't fault the stores. Fault the shooters. Anyone living in the West knows fire dangers are a fact of life and we, as shooters know this fact. Silly for anyone to think that shooting tracer rounds or exploding targets during the summer in dry conditions or fire bans is not without serious risk. I cannot think of any rationale reason why you would shoot anything that has the "potential" to result in a wildfire.

I carry rake, a shovel and a fire extinguisher when shooting in the NF or BLM lands. I call the county and FS and BLM to ask if there are restrictions.

This is simply stupidity. Can't fix stupid. I Shot once all summer, because of fire ban. Ban lifted a few days ago. I'll head-out later this week.
