CVR and FDR may hold the answers you seek. But what a crazy, possibly-high guy thinks about the amenities or MFDs may be less informative than the feedback you might have been hoping for.

Certainly it shows it's an easy-enough plane to fly when not burdened with a revenue-load of pax and fuel. Though landing in one piece on-time at a particular place has always been the trickiest part of aviation.

Really interesting, to me, was hearing this guy talk about how he's just so burnt out on life, so depressed, that at the age of 29, he thinks he might as well kill himself in a wild and crazy way like stealing a passenger plane and doing stunts with it until he was out of gas.

I feel like, if he was smart enough to fire it up, get it off the ground and clean it up, then he could have landed it if he wanted to. The plane might not have survived, but he definitely seemed to have enough skill to make a survivable landing.
