Here's a cleaning tip for the yellow nicotine stains left behind on surfaces- it works for walls in homes, and I would expect that it would also work for vehicle interiors (to a certain extent): LA Awesome, sold at the dollar store effectively removes the build-up. I use it in my carpet cleaner, and it helps remove stains and general grunge. You must dilute it, and don't use it on glass- ammonia and soapy water will work for glass- but it's an excellent cleaner.

It really depends on the output of the machine vs the space. Some of the commercial units can turn the air toxic in an apartment overnight.

The 350$ a bit more than Id want to spend, the $100 going to crap after one use, or probably fine but only good for a car or a single room at a time I imagine. Room by room is fine though if I can rent a big one I thought about spending 2 days with pets (parrot very sensitive to airborne) elsewhere while a big unit does its thing.

Yeah, I'm only interested in vehicle use. My wife and I are both smokers. Ability to de-stink them once in awhile would be nice.

With 3 dogs in the house, we'd need a machine the size of a Volkswagon.

This is the unit I got. It successfully nuked the gas smell out of our toy hauler when a gallon of gas spilled on the floor.
Also worked for a smelly room in the house where the old beagle peed.

Same one I'm looking at. Does the job huh? Also have two stinky old beagles.
