Default Do you have a Home Depot Adirondack chair?

Do you have a Home Depot Adirondack chair? They are all the rage right now. I first started noticing them when I had to replace one from hail damage, and while doing so realized that my neighbors have the exact same chair. Then I started seeing them around town and realizing just how many people have them. Took this picture today that is the perfect illustration.

Surprise! There was one in the yard I was standing in as well.

I'm not sure if HOA's are requiring this chair, or if they are just a really great deal (they are a pretty good deal: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RealComf...4303/302037956 )

    So, do you have one?

No, and i don't think i will be getting any of them anytime soon either. We have heavy duty cast iron chairs on the porch and patio.

That is a very funny picture though!

I bought a couple a few years back. The cool hipster colors weren't offered back then. Other than old people having a bit of trouble getting out of them, they ate great. Light, cheap and dont leave rust stains on the deck. KingSoopers had them on clearance for 15 bucks last week. That is a great deal for a chair!

I'm not seeing your vote. What do you have against impirical data collection?

If I didn't already have chairs, I would have bought some of my own by now.

They can hold up to 250lbs, so your wife should be safe in them!

I tried to make a wife joke on the board once, but it felt all wrong and I deleted it out of sheer embarassment.

I never married, so I am safe from the chair collapsing. But feel free to flame away!

Where I live, it would be in Kansas by tomorrow, unless it was tethered to a bag of Sackrete.

You'd just have to buy 30 extra chairs and keep at least five stacked together at all times. Then since they'd be so tall, you could dig a hole to put them in to get them to normal chair height. Take that, wind!

Speaking of where you live, I recently encountered another anamoly that has my attention when I was out there yesterday. I only have two locations for anecdotal evidence so far, so I'm not sure it's a trend yet, but it is mounting exterior porch lights upside down. See The Post Whore Thread for example photos.

We have some nice chairs we keep on the front stoop during the spring and summer, but in the fall we put them into storage (to protect them) and they get replaced with the bright green plastic Adirondack chairs (we used to have some beige ones but once my wife saw the lime green ones they replaced the beige).

A weird one we've noticed is the people with the stacks of rocks in their yard ... one interesting aspect of them is that the people that put them out are almost always leftists ... we think either its some sort of Gaia idol, or a secret signal for their fellow travelers (like rainbow flags are to the gays).
