Default Adams County is limiting CCW applications.

What kind of horseshit is this? Adams County is now limiting the amount of applications they will accept during their sessions.

Also, I found a link that shows that Adams County won't accept certificates from training unless there was live fire. Anyone have any experience with this? My certificate just says that I passed, it doesn't say anything about having different portions of the class.

They weren't requiring this in December.

I think it is an old link that they have on their site. They probably don't care, or just use it to deny people that they don't like. Thanks.
Here is the link, first highlighted portion.

Right, I saw that before I went in and turned my stuff in. On separate pages they have different info. They do not require shooting.

That is good to know. Thank you. Now if only I can find the list I made of all the places I've lived over the last ten years. Being a young renter sucks balls when someone asks you to list EVERY place you've ever lived. I don't even want to remember some of the places/people I've lived at or with.

Jason, Yeah, I'm on here too - not on RCC much anymore....
Adams county HAD required range time for a long time.... If I remember correctly it was in the instructions they had with the application. I know I was required to when I did it a few years ago.
Did you have it? I'm wondering now, my wife wants to get her CCW now and I'm looking at instructors.

    All-
If you are cool with the officer doing the leg work, you won't have problems. These guys have to deal with bottom feeders all day. If someone goes in looking like and acting like one, they are going to give them a hard time. A couple of my good friends are cops, if you could hear the stories they tell you would understand. I'd feel better if they walked around in body armor and .50 BMGs.

I just had a shitty experience with them.Took everything they had required on their application and was told I needed a state issued birth certificate and a DD214 long form. When I asked where it asked for either one of those on the application she said "they're not on there,it's on the Sherrif's web page". Why isn't it on the app ? "I don't know I run into this frustration all the time" Gee you may be able to eliminate it by putting ALL that's required on the app. Decided the hell with it and went back to work !

So now they want a long form? Maybe I'll just wait till I move out of Adams County.

I've checked several other counties since this happened and haven't found anyone else that requires those 2 documents. I thought this was a state run program,so there wouldn't be any confusion ? Except Denver of course ! What the hell does a birth certificate prove when your 63 ? It seems to me a CBI check and proof of training should be more than enough. I've been an NRA Instructor for 15 years. Sorry for the rant I just hate jumping through hoops for no reason.
