    Default RDS on a 1911 - Bert

I see that Springfield is offering a 10mm 1911 with an RDS. What are the concerns surrounding the milling of a 1911 slide for an RDS?

I'm doing some reading, I see that this has been going on for a few years now, the Trijicon RMR is a little wide for a 1911 though.

Every review I've read about the Trijicon is very positve, I owned and used a Doctor and it was OK but nothing about it makes me want to get another.

Love my RMR. Mounted on my PPQ Q4 TAC. I don't have a lot of round through it yet, only about 500. But so far it is good.

What are you basing that assessment on?

So what you are saying is; If you like your Doctor, you get to keep your Doctor.

Fortunately you are much more honest than the last guy who said that.

To mount a RMR on a 1911 you must use an adapter plate because the 1911 slide is much narrower than a Glock or M&P.
