I would like to point out that 1.2 guns per person is 1.8 guns short of the required 3 guns for a 3 gun match. Shameful.

Kind of like when the news reports in an excited fashion that someone had "thousands of rounds of ammunition" in their "stockpile" or "arsenal". So....a couple of bricks of .22LR. That's a good start, so what's the big deal?

    "Arsenal."

An old Mosin, a Hi Point, a Mossberg pump, and "thousands of rounds."

    Default America has the guns

Compare and contrast this video to today's gun safety narrative. Brought back good memories of the civilian marksmanship program.

And by the way, for the "gun safety" blather we hear so often; the right to bear arms number one reason for me goes beyond self-defense, hunting, recreational shooting, gun collecting or my usage in the military, although important.

It is called common defense as a militiamen and to curtail and stand ready to confront a "tyrannical government" and foreign adversaries. The oath of office did not cease upon my retirement. It stands until my last breath.

Whoever compiled statistic s has no way to know 30% of households have a gun. I believe it to be a much higher percentage.

That is the meaning of the second amendment as I read it.

    Yup!!!

There is way they can test that statistic though...

As an aside, there is a lot of news coming from UK and Australia about illegal gun "factories." Usually what we would call "hillbilly innovation." This plus smuggling = their governments have no idea how many guns are in those countries.

I started a thread about our local drug bust that uncovered 10 80% built guns.

People who claim to be in the know about guns are the most clueless. Except me. .40SW > 9MM. (this is a joke)

Is anyone else curios about Mexico having more guns than Canada. They might have a TON of those little 17 cals? But still weird.
