Default "The Last Lockdown" statue coming to Denver

TL;DR version, an anti-gun group is sending statues of a scared kid hiding under a desk to pro-gun places including Denver in the hopes of changing minds.

My take, since Fearless Girl (the statue placed in front of the Bull statue on Wall Street) is apparently a legit tactic (changing the meaning of the original art), I would love to see someone with talent create another statue of a teacher with a gun, standing between the terrified child and the unpictured attacker (like, one hand with the gun, another with the hand in a "Get behind me" sort of protective pose). The wailing and gnashing of teeth would be epic! (And of course the teacher statue would be defaced/torn down, but just proving the point!)

    Denver is a pro-gun place?

I hope they put it downtown and warn the Boomers. It will trigger flashbacks to Civil Defense drills.

Ass backwards in their logic. People kill, not guns. Maybe they'll set-up in south Chicago while their at it. I am sure this will make a real difference in the body count. I doubt it.

Gun violence goes much deeper than the tool (the gun).

When emotions over-rule logic, reason, human nature, and the scientific method expect abject policy failure.

No. A living art piece. A real person doing the pointing every hour of every day protecting the child with a real gun. Maybe an American Rifle 15.

The easiest way to change the statement would be to change the statement. Put a statue of the pope in front of it.

It wasn't mud, it was poorly planned drainage.
