I suppose if you’re going to put that thing in a track you couldn’t handle picked a better one. Making a lap or two there in something is one of my bucket list items. Congratulations.

    Why?

I have done many track days and exceeded 160mph. Never once did I see the need for a helmet. Btw, I hate safety nazis. Driving a motorcycle on I25 is far more riskier than these sessions.

Optional. While there were many street cars in the parking lots it was mostly modded cars and some all out race cars on the track when I ran. Lots of GT3's running. For the first lap on the track I did well. It is just like when you have practice for road races. Many classes out at once so you need to have one eye on the road and one in the mirror. I only held up one car in a turn because I was committed to the line and not going to change @ 100mph.

A lot more elevation change than shows up in the videos. The track is a roller coaster ride with many blind corners. I had a few that I took to slowly and one that I had it hung out but good once I got into it. I saw 220Kph (136MPH) on the one straight but should have been more.

It is expensive but they have packages that make it a lot cheaper. One lap is $35. They still have the "common sense" thing here in Germany. There are no wavers to sign just buy your ticket and go. You could never sue the track because it is a given that if you want to play you may have to pay.

This is really cool!!! Would love to be able to do that someday and totally worth the $35/lap.

That funny. I have a video setup but did not bring it, next time. A friend that was up from Italy with his G8 had a go-pro so I will se if he has some. I will go back a few more times. The guys that know the track are just like me on Pikes Peak. Once you have about 300 times up the mountain you know every curve.

What is the current highest speed permitted on the Autobahn? Are the polizei still the schizz nizzle when it comes to no one gives them any lip? Is it still really expensive and thorough for the folk to get a license to drive in Deutschland?

Go fast while you can Jerry.

I never suggested they should have, just asked why they didn't.
