Default South Site/ Turkey Tracks on fire

South site/trash hole is burning. Wonder if they will shut it down.

Was cleaned up nicely for a week then trashed again.

The smoke was really bad at my house over the weekend.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Sadly any public land near major cities typically gets trashed quite fast.

Based off of my observation of the current lack of respect for all public lands by far too many, I FIFY.

Lot of smoke early yesterday morning in northwest Springs. None today. Looks like it is west of the range.

The photo in this article looks like its right in the middle. Looks to be that first “big” spot.

They just put up all that fencing to force shooting to the west. Cannot use the areas to shoot north.
I doubt the area will be closed.
I agree respect for public land is very low.

I hope they dont close it down. If they do I can see all those that used to use the area scatter to surrouding areas and destroy and trash many areas instead of just one.

South site was being cleaned up today by a volunteer group. I can't remember the name of the group. They said it would be open for shooting again tomorrow.
