I think I misquoted this as the Great site crash of 2013 in a post or two, it was in 2012 as you stated.

I think half the membership was in detox or seriously Jonesing by the time this site was back up. There were even members going to barfcom ( how low can you go for your interwebz fix ) to ask what happened to this site.
And how many members lost hundreds, if not thousands of post counts due to the outage ? No one will ever know the true number.

Yea, half the half was just worried about losing their post count.

I proposed to a MOD a while ago that the site should set up an Amazon affiliate program so we could all order our shit like we do anyway and have this place get the benefit to run the servers, ban hammer brigade, or whatever you guys do (and do awesomely, btw). Plus we could could skim a little of that lefty money to our side. Hehehe.

Maybe there's a tax complication there, but maybe it can be set up as a nonprofit or something? I have no idea what I'm talking about, obviously, but I make between $10 and $100 off of my silly quail blog a month, so why not?

Might be the only time that fits in his schedule...

I tend to try and leave Thursday and Friday out of the schedule for network work. It gives me time to fix any possible SNAFU's before the weekend...

What kinda network guy schedules an upgrade for a Thursday afternoon?

Fridays are reserved for the rollbacks. That way the whole team can work all weekend because the DBA "fixed all ur scripts" and be ready to try again Monday.

Mostly picked Thursday because it was the only time that really fit. Have a busy schedule and have to be out of the data center the 15th. So this weekend I be tearing down the old rack.

Unfortunately all of my paying clients came first, and this being a personal project it gets fit in at the end.

That said, it took foxtrot and I a bit to sync up on the DNS stuff, so it might get bumped to tomorrow. I'm waiting for our domain to pass validation for email whitelisting at the new host. That way you all get your pm notifications and all.
