""""On Sept 3rd of this year, YouTube quietly rolled out even more restrictive policies governing firearms and accessories content on their platform. It used to be we that we could mention where we got a firearm or accessory in video and it wasn?t in violation of their community standards. We could put a graphic or even a URL in the video stream (not a hot link, just unlinked text in video) and we weren?t breaking the rules. We could even show the installation of a silencer, bayonet, optic, etc. in video and it wasn?t in violation of the rules either.

Now, showing any of the above is against YouTube community standards. If I show a silencer being installed, I?ve ?demonstrated how to make a firearm more lethal?. If I show the insertion of a ?high capacity magazine? in video, I?m showing how to make a firearm ?more lethal? and I?m in violation of community standards. If I show my KDG quick detach Aimpoint mount being taken off or snapped on, I?ve shown how to make the firearm more lethal. If I put a bayonet on a Mosin Nagant, I?ve shown how to make the rifle more lethal.""""

Ridiculous! I wonder where this all ends? YouTube and Google crowd along with FB and other social media platforms are just "censoring" free speech and expression. This entire "gun-thing" fixation is over the top. What's with all this? I get it. The "leftists" agenda not only against the 2A, but the 1A.

Although, not a fan of more government regulation, time to check Google and all the rest of these "leftists" platforms.

It comes down to them shoveling their worldview down our throats. Frankly, sick of it and the pontificating by these so called "leftists elitists." Mark Zuckerberg and the rest of them can shove it.

17 more days before we know if YT and other media sites will be empowered to do more to restrict what the public can see and hear, or not.

Well said. No question in my mind who I'll be supporting in Nov. Already voted. A no brainer for me. Voting against the mob, the leftists, no message Democrats except "resistance." Freedom, liberty and self-determination is at stake.

What gets me about youtube restrictions is if you don't want to watch a particular subject you have the freedom not to. We don't need youtube making those decisions for us

Until YT and other social medias are regulated as a utility, this is entirely within their rights, whether we agree with it or not.

Free speech and truth are kryptonite to the corrupt crony establishment elites. Historically, when corrupt people feel their power is threatened they tend to try and silence their opposition.

My comments on this subject are well known!

With respect to gun vids, I think this is more about denying culture and restricting technical info. The great thing about videos is they appeal to a wide audience on technical subjects no matter how you learn. I was on YT just last night trying to help a friend with her Benz and not knowing anything about the car was able to rule out a few common sense problems (electrical).

Internet videos have a been a great tool for new (younger) shooters for everything from safety, technique, to cleaning/maintenance. Not to mention building.

It makes perfect sense they will target online info and do everything they can to censor.
