I hadn't talked about it, but lets just say the ride along I recently had didn't seem to invoke much pride in the department from the officers I spoke to. (namely politics from the city restricting them in the most insane ways, the amount of stolen vehicles that had to be let go in one night alone..)

Politics has always played apart regarding how the LE does their job. The Broken Windows policy is one fatality of such politics. Same for illegals being detained until ICE is notified. Or confiscation of firearms in Nawleans.
