Trying to go through this now... What a mess.
On one hand Amendment W would simplify this but people are so lazy they might vote to retain or dismiss without researching.

After researching the judges, reading some rulings, looking at who appointed them and why, I voted to not retain on all but three.
Judge John Daniel Dailey, CCoA, I voted to retain. He has a great track record and was appointed by Owens.
I voted to retain 2 JeffCO Court Judges, Fisch and Randall.
I made my retention votes based on who appointed them. I think I only had 2 or 3 retentions.
W made sense to me, but figured some voters might be confused by the change, so I went with leaving it alone.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

I put a lot of stock in the reviews on each judge. I look to make sure that the judge is fair to defendants, though not preferential. I was summoned for jury duty earlier this year, and was very impressed with the judge, so I wouldn't want to vote him out, knowing that if I had to go before him I'd get a fair deal.

All of this effort to identify who to keep and only two judges voted out - El Paso County court/Judge Acker and District Court, 18th Judicial District/Judge Douglass. It looks like most were retained with 70% or more of the vote.
