    Default One piece cleaning rods.

Are one piece rods worth it? Stainless or carbon? Recomendation for non boutique brand?
Also are chamber guides worth it?

    One-piece rods are great.

    Avoid steel. I prefer brass.

ETA: couldn't remember which brand I had (have had them for quite a while), but checked my email reciepts - mine are Dewey as well.

    Another vote for Dewey.

Mine are the plastic coated ones. Nylon or Teflon or whatever.

I remember some internet hoopla about the coated ones having some sort of drawback but I haven?t had an issue with them for the twenty plus years I?ve been using them.

I have the nylon coated rods also, think they're great and wouldn't own anything else anymore. I have nightmares about the steel ones dad handed down and I used... I also have a couple chamber guides which are also nice to have, cheap insurance.

I have a few Bore-Tech and a few Dewey rods. Well worth it.

Bore guides are almost a must. I use Lucas and Possum Hollow.

I also like VFG bore pellets. About a million times better than fighting bullshit patches.
