Default Class 3 storage out of state.

Now that Colorado has gone full retard, what are the legalities of storing Class 3 items out of state?

Can they be stored in a storage unit or safety deposit box? SBRS are easy as you can strip them, but silencers?

What about out of state trustees holding on to them?

Looking for serious answers as I see an AWB coming with no grandfathering in the very near future.

The awb, if any will not impact NFA items.
However IF you had a trust, you could add someone OOS to it. As well as do a 5320.20 to transport said NFA items across state lines. For this you could say you're a snow / sun bird, if asked.

The 5320.20 only applies to actual weapons (SBS, AOW, SBR) not suppressors. You could file a 5320.20 for them if you want, but not necessary.

I would suggest you supply a quality safe as well. This way your items are separate and secure from the place you store them.

When we traveled the 5320.2 took 2.5 weeks from time i faxed the paperwork in. I just did a permanent change of address 1 week ago.

I have a trust. I didnt know about the silencers not needing permission.

I could still just convert the SBRs back to pistols and store them in Missouri until I retire and vacate this cesspool. No forms needed, correct?

The family member in Missouri is the person the trust goes to when pass, but not currently on the trust.
