Sometimes on a gun board it is easy to forget that not every aspect of life is directly tied into gun ownership and knowledge of firearms. Making sure your kids are safe and not allowed in an environment that you don't trust, is rule #1 in parenting.

Thats odd, My friends are encouraged for us to have their kids since owning guns. I send them home knowing operation, cleanliness, functionality, and safety and fullfill un parented curiosity.
Our kids are all only 2.

Well, they probably haven't developed the fine motor skills necessary to detail-strip a 1911 yet. But field-stripping a Glock should be 2nd nature by now.
I don't have any Glocks. I can't have my sock drawers randomly exploding all the time. I have a family to take care of.
