    Why wait for 2020?

I think gun control items will come much quicker. Expect January to be introduced.

TABOR is much harder for them. It needs a vote by the people. It is in the Colorado Constitution and can only be changed by a vote of the people.

And last year, at least REPs were smart. We upped the threshold to amend the constitution to require 55% of the vote and to get on the ballot a certain amount of signature from each county. That really screwed DEMs wanting to get rid of TABOR.

Now, the list of fees that they may try and come up with will be mind boggling. I mean I can comprehend 3x10^8 but the number of fees DEMs can come up with will far exceed that.

The funny part is the DEMs think they have a mandate for single payer and free everything. But they have to ask the people for the taxes. Oh I love TABOR.

In general, I think people understand that TABOR is the only thing that saves them from taxes. Look at how many taxes failed this year.

I think they will wait until after 2020 because gun control issues tend to make them lose votes and they want votes for the next presidential election. Anyone else notice that many of the D candidates were promising gun control early on but it quickly went away.

I am not sure that is true in CO anymore.

There were plenty of "anytown" ads on TV and that didnt scare voters off.

In fact the only ad I saw in the Neville race were against Neville and his support by NRA.

It is a sad day when the LBGTQWREOJMSPOHSA is out and gun owners are put in the closet.

Maybe we just all need to cross dress, talk about our sexuality, and carry guns so we are accepted? In some level of seriousness, maybe the in-your -face approach the gay community used is the way to go. You know police dont want to confront 1000 armed protesters complaining about gun laws.

Look at Washington's 1639 gun control that passed with a 20% margin... that will be what they will model- unless it is successfully challenged in the courts.

They have to make it safe for politicians to take our rights, agree. How they get into that space, I don't know. I think "red flag" is the easiest way.

Once they breech it without consequences, it will get worse.

Now that I see that Tom Sullivan won a seat in the House I take back my previous statements. I am sure he will introduce every type of gun control legislation possible.

They're not going to waste anytime in pushing their agenda through. 2013 and 2014 are reminders of that. However, I predict that 2019 is going to be the hardest left session in Colorado political history, unfortunately.

    When it comes to guns:
Colorado State Gun Owner's Card that needs to be renewed every 5 years (with a hefty price tag) in order to buy a gun
10 day or longer waiting period to pick up your new gun and will also apply to private party transfers, including C&R and BB guns
No out of state internet ammo purchasing
all ammo sales will be recorded with a background check and a 5 day waiting period
Ban on semiautomatic "Military Grade" heavy weapons with no provision to sell or transfer them
    Close the Firearms Trust loophole
Ban all NFA classified items and no provision to sell or transfer them
Detachable Magazine capacity will be reduced to 10 rounds.
CCW laws will be re-written and will require more hours by state certified instructors in the class and range shooting, will be required to re-certify every two years and perhaps issuance will be removed from the county sheriffs in favor of the state issuing all permits. Fees will go through the roof.

In the end, one way or another we will get the short shitty end of the stick.
