Default How to fill in engraving marks

I have an sbr lower from several years back and the engraving is just in the white. I was wondering if anyone has good solutions for filling it in black. I know you can use a magic marker or something but just curious what all the options are.

I've always like using crayons. Get a wax crayon of whatever color you want, mark in the engraving, use some WD40 to wipe off the excess. Takes no time at all and it's easy to fill if it gets scuffed, etc.

There are dedicated paint stick fill in markers from Markal paint sticks and Laqueur stiks, available at craft stores or the internet. They are formulated specifically for indent filling (engraving). I've used the Markals, they are ok but take about 3 applications before it looks proper. You have to scrub the marker a fair bit until you get to fresh paint and then it starts filling in nicely.
