    Thanksgiving is primarily a secular holiday. I think they'd sooner get rid of Christmas or Easter.

    Oh, I always treated Thanksgiving as giving thanks to God so I include Thanksgiving with Christmas and Easter.

    Celebrating & giving of gifts should be a year round thing. Not regulated to a random day circled on a calendar.
