Glad you're OK. Shaken awake and rode through the San Fernando Quake of '71 at 6.5. Dumped the contents of my closet and was nearly impossible to get to the doorway. Was a helluva reminder that being in control is only an illusion.

Did a few in the 5 to 6 range in Misawa, Japan as well as many, many lesser ones. Always made me feel dizzy and nauseous for a bit. I can't imagine a 7.0 would be a lot of fun to ride out.

Yea it’s crazy how fluid solid objects can become without being destroyed. One doesn’t believe until your see concrete rolling like water.

I was in a 3.8 in Steamboat Springs.. had been out and had a couple drinks, came home and went to bed and was in that in-between awake and dream state. Just remember the whole bed jumping up and down for a good 20-30 seconds and trying to figure out if what was happening was real or in my head.

The dreaded bed spins......hurlage usually follows soon after.

    I'm glad you're okay!
I've been watching videos of quakes and photos of the aftermath. The mind boggles.

Glad there were no fatalities, with a 7.0 there will definately be property damage.

I remember a 6.2, but the only damage from that was from things falling off shelves.
