It's really good and very intense in some places.

Late to the party, but x2. I?m halfway after a strong recommendation from a buddy.

Anyone who can't see it in the theater, PM me...
Chad, were you able to get a DVD/BD that is not Region 2? Everywhere I look won't play here and I don't want to use up one of my DVD drive region changes, but may have to.

I have it as an MP4/MKV file, so you can watch it right on the computer/stream it/burn it/whatever!

Awesome! I use Make MKV for digitizing my DVD collection and serve it from a Network Attached Storage server at home using Plex, and Kodi on Raspberry PI's and Amazon TV's, do you have a similar setup? It is so much better not having to flip through DVD's and BluRays to find a movie I want to watch!

That was worth watching. The 20 or so minutes after the credits were at least as interesting as the movie itself (to me).

Yup close to the same, I have Plex running on my FreeNAS box, got a couple Roku's and a 4k Apple TV, in addition to watching on phone, tablet, my laptop when I'm in the office, whatever!

Saw it yesterday in the theater with some friends. Wasn't as blown away as I'd hope with the hype, but damned if it wasn't an amazing technical achievement. I'd very much recommend checking it out if you have a chance.

Frankly, I really wish Jackson would have chosen this topic to build into a huge, multi-hour trilogy instead of The Hobbit.
