Default Jumping into the tac6 world

I am a glutton for punishment...So after getting a deer with my ar 20" 6x45 this year, I have decided to go into another 6mm wildcat. Poodles are fun with the 6x45, but I'm hoping for 3ft flips versus my typical 2ft with the 6x45. To add insult to injury, my buddy says his valkyrie will smoke any 6mm, so let the moron games begin. Figuring that a 105vld out of a 22" barrel, around mid 2700 fps should give him and varmint cong a run for their money. Barrel is on order from ar perormance....I looked at the 6fatrat and 6ar turbo, and thunked the 6.8spc case would be better fit for what i want to do....

I have an 18" TAC 6. Still doing load development, initial results are promising.

    103gr ELD-X @ 2700fps w/ XBR 8208

Working on a 70gr Varmit load.

My only complaint is the necks are super short.

    Is 6x45 the 6.5 Grendel?

ETA: Never mind I figured it out.

tac6 is shorter then the 6x6.8spc. You trim it down to 1.570 i think...

I’ve got a 6mmm Fat Rat barrel, dies and brass sitting here for some time, but I haven’t had the time to build the upper and go shoot it.
