Lies and damn lies. I don't have a large building...

It rains constantly here in the winter. Like living in Seattle. I have to say it can be pretty dreary. If it isn't raining, it looks like it's gonna rain. But, I don't have to shovel rain. 3.21 inches for Dec so far according to my weather station rain gauge. On the other hand, only an inch or so of snow so far this winter.

A few years ago Idaho had the only heard of caribou in the lower 48, only about 16 of them. Do you know if that is still true? Also, have you seen/heard any wolves yet?

No wolves for me yet. I was hoping for a glimpse or to hear one when I did the wilderness camping trip in September.

I heard not long ago that all remaining caribou in WA and ID (6, according to the Spokesman article) were being re-re-located back into Canada. Never seen one of those critters, either.

I wonder why they'd relocate them.

I think predation was the biggest problem...wolves and cougars.

Oh I know, when you have such a small population, predation can completely wipe out the herd, but it doesn't make sense to move them out to Canada. The species is not endanger of extinction, just that small population in that local area.
