If I arrange to purchase a gun from someone and we goto an FFL for a private transfer does the law dictate how much the dealer can charge for this service? CRS 18-12-112 says ?A licensed gun dealer may charge a fee for services rendered pursuant to this section, which fee shall not exceed ten dollars.? Every dealer I am aware of charges more than $10. Are they breaking the law, is there some loophole I?m unaware of? Furthermore are FFLs required to offer this service or can they refuse to do it for any price?
