The PPS is cool...but the PPK is James Bond's gun!

Do I really need another .380? No...would I really carry it? Maybe, but I've been wanting a PPK since I was old enough to buy handguns!

Not sure if you found what you were looking for or not but I just ran across a S&W PPK/S (has extended beaver tail) on gunbroker that 5280 Armory just listed if you're interested: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=149213495

yeah, ammo has been tough...I got a few 100 rd packs from walmart...but those are few and far between.

My local hardware store has speer gold dots for $16.95 and those function well in my lcp.

$500 is a little much...I was hoping to spend around $400 for a used ppk, but thanks for the link!

No prob! If I were you I would look for an original German PPK or at least an Interarms. I use to have one of the S&W PPK/S bought it brand new, Broke the extractor and cracked the frame on the first shot. Sent it back to S&W and they did a band aid fix but the frame was still cracked when they sent it back and it still did not work properly. By this point I was furious, called them and told them this was unacceptable and I wanted a new frame. Sent it back again and this time they sent it back with a new frame. I immediately sold the POS ASAP and will never buy another one! I also received an email probably a year after selling it notifying me of a recall on that pistol. Didn't care to look into the reason for the recall but did laugh with s snicker as I deleted the email notice!

    Best of luck!

I managed to pick up a PPK/S in .22 that came from the German factory in Ulm for $300 and trade on a P22. It came with extra springs and two extra magazines with the extended finger grip - the mags alone are going for over $100 at recent gun shows. It's a great shooter and one of my favorite fun toys. Not a .380 but ammo is a little easier to get. Keep looking you'll find something.

I have a Pre WWII PPK 32 acp with holster and extra walther clip that i got from my grandfather when he died and though it pinces my hand it is a great gun i defintly would recommend them for a fun and close range carry, I also carry and LCP.

The S&W PPKs are good little guns.

I'm not a huge fan of .380, so I opted for a Kel-Tec P-11.... 10+1 rounds of full power 9mm in a package that is only 1/8th inch thicker than a PPK, and actually smaller overall, not to mention lighter. It's a handfull to shoot, however, even with the optional extended fingergrip floorplate on the magazine.
