Default Any mechanics do side work here?

I know some there are some mechanics on here but does anyone do any work on the side? Some of my older rigs are needing a bit of love. I wouldn't mind taking it to someone down south but would prefer someone north, closer to me. Maybe you've had your eye on a new gun and could use some extra cashola?

What are you looking to have done?

My buddy is a diesel mechanic and always looking for some extra cash. He works on pretty much anything.

That's what I like to hear! PM sent.

To elaborate a bit, my '03 Tahoe needs upper/lower ball joints, front shocks and an axle seal. The right upper ball joint has some play, the left side is pretty darn tight with no play. I'd probably look at doing all the uppers/lowers since the front shocks need done as well. It's a spare rig and I don't want to dump a ton of money into since it gets drive once or twice a month now that I have my truck.

I guess I'm triggered by "ball joints". True story. First car is beat up 1970 Hornet (maybe the worst car ever made, and yup my folks did own an Edsel). Hornet needed everything done - a complete POS - including ball joints. Me and my Dad worked on it in our unheated garage -> -10 degrees outside. Finally finished at 2:30 AM so I could get to classes that morning - both of us with bloody knuckles on both hands. One of those experiences I won't forget.
