Funny enough, in our house we call September 11th, my oldest son’s birthday. I’ve missed a few of his birthdays over his 28 years participating in the respiration exercise. One in particular was in 2001.

There are work days, non-work days, and holidays. Very few days are memorable, like the actual days my kids were born. Most days are not as memorable. Today is a work day.

    Be safe.

I did my part on the way into work this morning, appreciating the State Trooper that didn't pull me over when I caught him on I-70. I may or may not have been exceeding the posted speed limit...

But really. Their hearts are in the right place. I just don't like that much attention. Not sure if the others feel that way.
I've always found it embarrassing, mainly because my service was never in anyway as stressful or dangerous as others'. I'm proud of what I've done fo the country, just have never felt it deserved special recognition like that.

Ditto that. I knew what I was doing when I signed up. I got my paycheck and other benefits that I earned. Makes me feel funny, too, when people say that. Not that I don't appreciate it, it just wasn't anything special compared to most others...especially in the last 17 years or so.

Besides...I get "special recognition" every time I can't move because of my back.

If its a hot spring you're going to dip into well um, just consider it was another fellow's bath water just 15 minutes prior...

    Just saying.

That's how I feel about my college experience.
