I had mine done by Doug at Mile High Shooting. It was $150 to have it done, but the machining was second to none. There may be a few people around the local area who can also do it, but I would be cautious. ATEI also does a great job, but remember you will pay for quality work.

+1 for AETI, Mile High Shooting and Danger Lee Industries. Other great options to look at would be Jagerwerks, Battlewerx, or Primary Machine.

Getting your factory slide milled is going to be superior in almost every way to using MOS, adapter plates, or aftermarket milled slides.

If you can?t or won?t get the slide milled, next best option is the Raven Concealment Balor Mount. It has more points of contact, and get be installed off center line, unlike the Dueck Defdnse, Saurez, Aimpoint, Trijicon, or other rear sight dovetail mounts.

    Cons of Milling:
    - Having your gun down for at least a few weeks.
    - Having to get a new surface treatment. Nitriding is your best bet.
    - With Glocks getting a slide milled, (in theory), cuts below the factory surface hardening, so your into softer steel.

I haven?t seen in evidence of long term/high round count issues relating to that last point, but have heard that thrown about.

Thanks... I'll probably just hold off and purchase an after market slide that is already milled, etc. I can see the value of leaving the original intact.

    Thanks for the words.

Pardon the zombie resurrection of this thread. But, had my slide milled today at CNC Specialist in Co. Spgs. 3 hour turn around, and great job. He doesn't do the cerakote, and he doesn't laser foresight it for you, but Daniel did a great job.
