Hmmm, take my cell out of my pocket and call the police right then and there. More than likely, that would make them drive away. Report descriptions of people and vehicle with plate to cops if possible. After the guy yelled, "We're going to kill you," at me, anyone coming out of the vehicle would immediately be drawn down on with orders to get on the ground. They'd likely drive away at that point. Continue to report it all to the cops. I wouldn't mention anything about drawing your gun either, unless it came up.

Optional: Report it to the news, then write to American Rifleman so they can add it to their data base of times a gun saved someone's life.

EDIT: Sniper, you should change the title to the scenario so the threads are easier to identify.

Look for escape route. Position beside/behind car for safety. I usually walk with one or two hands in my pocket so, flip on the phone in my pocket to dial 911 and record at same time (very kewl module obtained at RS for cheap, great clarity too) Ask them to repeat what they said in a scared voice (for the tape, hehe). Yell "I SEE a Gun!!" (not I have a gun, lol) and proceed to warn that I am armed and unholster at my side.... From here, several things can happen:

1.) Either they take off and I get liscence plates, description, etc for coppers, or
2.) I get to rid the world of more gene pool contanimating wanna be gansta/punk/terds/etc.

If number two, I sit on the hood of the car, pop open a soda, and wait for the PD to haul me off to jail where I commence too make all the useless member of society... lol.

I am under the impression that even telling someone that you have a gun can be considered felony menacing with a deadly weapon.

if used as a deterent to Stop The Threat then no.
Just saying I have a gun is border line menacing.
After the first pass i'd be dialing 911 with 1 hand gun drawn (not presented) in the other. It happens that quick.
besides, can you confirm that they did or did not let one of their passengers out, to hit your flank?
