Spokesman: GOP senator to break with party, vote to reopen government without border wall funding
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) is expected to break with President Trump and vote to reopen the government without funding for a border wall.
Gardner's spokesman said Wednesday that the senator planned to vote for a "clean funding bill ... with no border-security funding attached," according to The Denver Post.
The Senate will vote Thursday on two competing proposals to end the shutdown, both of which are expected to fail.
As the state moves left, so does Cory Gardner. That didn't work out too well for Coffman, but maybe Gardner will just change party affiliation.
