    Default Armslist is flaky

Has everyone else noticed how flaky armslist has gotten? I?ve had a handful of people over the last 12 months or so who have simply not showed up to do a transfer and a couple even ghosted on replying to texts. Is it because there?s no feedback or something? Or are there anti gun people trolling there now trying to waste our time? What?s up with that?

No, but you might be right. Honestly, I?ve never used it. I try to only do business with folks on here since they?ve always been standup folks the decade or so I?ve been on here.

I’ve listed and sold one firearm on there in the last 6 months. Went fine. I’d imagine more volume = more chances to find a dud.

    It?s like Craigslist for guns.

Either I?ve just always had good luck or I?m better at weeding out the flaky ones than you are.

I?m not saying I haven?t been contacted by some squirrely people on there but I tend to send them packing early on in our dealings.

I've had about equal luck between here and there once a deal is finalized.

On the other hand, the amount of garbage emails there are crazy. No, I dont want to trade my pistol for 8 honda civic takeoff wheels and/or a goat.

There is 1 flake from armslist joined this forum year(s)(new member sign in). I can tell by location/id/what he does/etc. This guy really made me unhappy that day. I had to drag my kid on rainy day and waited in front of FFL.

    FFL was not too happy.
Good part is that he is not active on this site at all.

Oh. I sell a lot of stuff on CL and I post lots and lots of disclaimer on the top of the description to weed out idiots/flakes/trollFks/Scammers.

Armslist has always had more than it's share of flakes. Just like Craigslist. Cost of doing business.

I do this, too. And I don't respond to ridiculous offers.

I have been using Armslist for quite a few years and it has always been flaky. The least amount of issues are here and great people. However, some of the new guys that are on the trading post here are acting just like the total Armslist pricks they were there too. Oh well, maybe being on here they will learn some manners. I get more "well they go for X$$ on Gunbroker" from Armslist jokers.

I have met some really good people dealing on Armslist and I get better deals there than here but in general, yeah, it's flake city.

I just sold a few guns on Armlist the last month. There are a lot of flakes that say they're going to buy your gun than don't. The sure cant read at all, I wrote to not email me if they don't want to pay my asking price. They still offer me less than I'm asking.
