Kudos to the runner for not just cashing in his chips. I am wondering what he did to kill the cat?

My family property west of Boulder was overrun by cats in the late 80's to late 90's, and this fact was one of primary reasons why I started carrying a sidearm starting at age 13 on an almost daily basis while outside.
