    Default Cabela's warranty (or new warranty)

    So I went into Cabela's today to return a rain jacket I'd bought from them with the receipt in hand. The woman at Customer service looked at me and said she couldn't return it because it was purchased too long ago, December 2015. Yes I'd bought it 3 years ago but only used it once and the shoulder tore out. Manager arrived to tell me the warranty period has changed. What used to be a Life Time Warranty for Cabela's brand purchases with the receipt, is now 30-90 days with the receipt. Unacceptable.

    Store manager shows up who can't even distinguish what camo pattern the jacket is in then tells me they can't refund the value of the item for what I paid on the receipt but can get me a new jacket or a gift card. I took the gift card as I did not want to get another crappy product with a 30 day warranty. Spoke to corporate through email and the store is supposed to warranty original purchases under the old warranty if it was bought before January 1st 2019 when the new warranty took effect.

    I will not be making purchases again at Cabela's. They're stuff is way too expensive to not have a long warranty and that was always the benefit of spending the money on a quality product. They'll soon be the new Dick's selling high priced items at Walmart quality.
