Ironically I believe that about the time everyone starts to look at GW in a more positive light, Republicans will look back on him with disgust.

If you were in the military back then you saw what he did for us. My pay went up 26% in a year. Carter tried to claim the 11.7% was his but that coupled with the 14.3% approved by Reagan was the start.

We had 1 ambulance that worked as the other 3 were so rusted out they would not support the 02 tanks anymore. In 81 my commanders car was a 73 dodge dart that you could see the road through the door because of the rust. This was in SHAPE Belgium. I was there from 01/81-08/84. Buy the time I left we had new equipment in the Hospital and 4 new ambulances.

Didn't get the Bradleys there in time though.. I had to chase M1's in a 113 that, was made when I was in 4th grade...

But I have to tell you that I sorta miss the old M-113's. Not as good as a Brad, but nostalgic nonetheless.

I really miss the old M-151's. Hummer's are neat and all but they lack a certain je ne sais quoi, I dunno, character that the M-151's had. Too bad that the .gov started cutting those in half a few years before they really started to do away with them.
