Default Vermont man charged for high capacity magazines

    https://www.sevendaysvt.com/OffMessa...-gun-magazines

Seems like this guy poked the bear and ended up getting charged for having two magazines that hold thirty rounds. I read several articles about this, one mentioned that a woman told her therapist that she was worried about this guy because of all the guns. The therapist called the cops and that was enough to get the search warrant. This guy seems to be a tool but it's sketchy how the whole arrest actually seems to have gone down.

Biggest fear about red flag laws. I don't want to crap on people seeking therapy, but was she afraid of spiders as well?

One of these is going to have to go to Court. I'm not sure this sounds like the right one.

Yeah, that's the shady part. They won't release what this therapist said to the police at all. Doesn't seem right that they can get a search warrant with no other evidence than that phone call. I feel like if I called the cops and told them someone was selling crack that they'd get more evidence than just that phone call before kicking down their door.

I wonder if this would have played out different if it were a hair stylist instead of a therapist. Probably not if it were tied to a case of domestic violence. Anyway, I also wonder if a professional's E&O (Errors and Omissions) insurance policy would potentially cover any damages to the accused party once all the dust settles. Something for accusers to think about.

I totally agree. I cringe at the thought of a crazy ex-girlfriend just completely ruining your life because you dumped her. One phone call and your life could be over.

I loathe hearing about these scenarios. Complete BS that I've never understood. Done is done.

Maybe let ME have a chat with said 'girlfriend' in a 'random' location, I'll acquaint her to what crazy really is.
