Thornton, Colorado - So, my husband was heading out of town hunting and stopped at Cabela?s to get ammo. This truck (pictured below) was cruising the parking lot and stopped by multiple trucks. Well, Husband was the unlucky one because they smashed out his back window and stole all his hunting gear. It was thousands of dollars worth, but also things that are meaningful - lanyards, bands collected over his last 20 years of hunting, calls, etc. We didn?t get the guy on camera, but this is the truck. Please help us find them.
Update (now that I'm off the phone and have my computer) - They stole duffel bags full of camo, but also personal items like prescription glasses, and a leather overnight bag that we bought from a little shop while on vacation in Italy. It was a big purchase for us - but I remember telling him that he deserved a nice bag, and it would last us a lifetime.
Mostly, what they stole, though, was time. Mark was headed up to hunt with his Dad and Dad's two remaining brothers. He's had beloved uncles pass away in recent years and the remaining brothers were getting together to hunt this weekend. Who knows how many of these are left. He couldn't go between the police reports and the glass replacements guys, etc. These types of actions affect people's lives in real ways - and it's really sad. The Thornton Police are on the lookout for this truck - it's quite distinctive. But we're already overwhelmed with the support and kind words.
Thanks - Kelly and Mark
