I was 23 when I bought it and had to save for several months. Loved riding that bike!

How much are you going to sell it for?

I don’t know if I will. It just sits but then if I sell it, I would regret it. Wife wants it gone before the kids get interested in it. I think we’re a ways off from that!

Like I said, if you're the type of person who gets angry when people shamelessly beg for something, CL is probably not a good place for you to do business. But it's been good to me.

Now FB market place is taking some of CL's thunder. CL is still better for a buyer who is searching for a specific item (like shopping for a car or motorcycle) while FB Marketplace is good for "impulse buy" items. I've managed to get rid of quite a bit of old crap by just snapping a photo and posting it on FB Marketplace.
Thanks for the tip on Facebook Marketplace. I'm new to Facebook and ran into some interesting problems listing items with prices. Sounds like the Marketplace might be the right place.
I have sold a few things on Craigslist and have used my sense of humor to weather the idiocy.
I had one guy send a check for $2,500 more than what I was asking for a $200 item. He told me to cash the check and give $1,000 of it to the guy that picked up the item. I looked up the business on the check - a health clinic out of Virginia and sent a message to them that I had one of their checks. Never heard another thing.

That is a scam. The way it works is the check will initially clear, then later bounce due to some banking issue, the bank then holds you responsible for the cash you handed to the craigslist dude. Anytime someone wants to overpay you should walk away.

I had never put my Spanglish to practical use until I listed a framing nailer on CL. I felt like the Belle of the Quinceanera.

I figured it had to be a scam of some kind. The buyer kept texting me from a different number each time directing me to cash the check. A retired Denver Police Officer recommended I give all the information to the Postal Investigators since the check came in the mail. I emailed the info, but never received a response. Oh well.

Um, NO dude. I rejected your offer and counter-offered. That's how this works. Saying "please" doesn't change my mind.
