I've never been one to do it but it is a whole lot brighter with cell phones. Cleaning old files off my cell phone and found this from the Foo Fighters Concert in October...
Pepsi Center lit up with cell phone light only. Shows how many cant put them down for a night out myself included.

I do it daily at work out of convenience, along with using the camera to enlarge small equipment serial numbers with the camera so I can read them. I will agree it is stupid to use the flashlight function on an iPad.

Never knew my cell had a flashlight, till i found it by accident. Not only is it a smart phone, but sneaky as well.

Let's be honest. What really bothers me, is having less than 50% charge on a cell phone. So when I see people using the flash for sustained periods of time, it makes me cringe. Just a personal pet peeve that does not deserve any real merit.

Plus, if you don't have an actual flashlight, of course you're going to use your phone. Why wouldn't you?

Interesting point, I do have an actual flashlight in the console of my vehicle....but I just choose? to use the one on my phone? I dunno.
