    Default Here it comes...

Just saw a blurb on 7 News about their "360" segment they will be "discussing" Red Flag laws for Colorado.
Probably worth watching and paying attention to.

Will sail through on party line votes and Polis will sign ASAP. Will be just like 2013 . . . they're not going to let their majorities go to waste.

The 2019 measure doubles the amount of time that a judge would have to consider appeals ? from seven to 14 days for the first hearing after a person?s weapons are confiscated, and from 182 days to 364 days the amount of time the judge would have to decide whether to return a person?s weapons who was deemed an ?extreme risk.?
But the burden of proof lies with the person whose weapons were taken in this year?s measure and the mental health aide working with them.?

Surprisingly, it?s not as Draconian as I thought it?d be.

...for now. Once they get it passed, they will likely amend it and change it to be "more draconian".

The other thing I thought of is... Okay, now LE has the tool they said they needed (even though they always had involuntarily confinement). As we continue to see mass shootings and casual urban crime that gets ignored, there will be another data point.

We all know DAs won't be hauling gang bangers in on this.

Duh. My statement is based on our current libtard legislation session. I am in fact surprised that they included a paid lawyer to the victim (gun owner)and changed it to multiple reviews during the year vs one.

I?m by no way wanting to see this first step in ?desensitizing the public to gun confiscation? legislation passed. It?s total bs and I?m really getting tired of people using suicide, which was thrown around in the articles that I read, as an excuse for more gun control.

    Not Draconian?

Elimination of the probable cause standard to seize personal property.

Issuing search warrants on a preponderance of the evidence.

Continuing to seize personal property for 364 days without probable cause

If this isn't Draconian I don't know what is.
