Had a friend on Ambien for sleep aid after surgery. He was fine using it for the first month until his wife woke him up from deep REM sleep. He remembers nothing until 2 days later waking up in douglas county jail, apparently he ripped out the wrought iron stairway handrail (Super strength), drove off with his wife hanging off the hood, got pulled over for DWI, released improperly after wrong diagnosis, arrested again on way home for DUI, DUI proved negative so they charged him with marijuana instead, also proved negative, so charged with kidnapping (wife on hood of car) even though she stated he didnt kidnap her the police were determined to charge it anyway, DA kept saying she had battered wife syndrome and didnt know what she was talking about (which eventually led to a separate legal court battle she won) . First arresting deputy put on leave for improper release on what should have been a medical hold. Big big mess, lots of lawyer time and lots of incidences of Ambien causing all sorts of weird behavior in different ppl came up in court. Wound up with a year's probation and an expunged record after all was said and done. Been normal since and hasn't touched Ambien, just out $30k+ in legal fees. Had to give up his weapons to a holding service for the year he was under probation (didnt even know there were businesses like that)

This! I have a horrible disease from a cat! Most people are not affected.

That's insane. My nephew wasn't doing well in math either when he was in grade school but turned out he had a mild form of dyslexia that affected his number perception. When given the same tests verbally rather than in written form, he excelled. After the diagnosis and change in curriculum, he graduated from an IB program with something like a 3.8 GPA and is currently studying bioengineering.

I've seen some things that have stemmed from SSRIs. It's very concerning.

Just something I was aware of. Might be worth discussing.

That is such a wacky disease. Especially the incubation, and effects on the brain.
