I failed to take the date into context of this discussion, in 2012 things were different than they are now.

Daniel Defense also made contributions to the (D) in 2012, 2014, and 2016 - their contributions to the (D) decreased over time and in 2018 their contributions stand at 0 for the CPUSA.

Prior to 2016 the (D) was hiding their tyranny for the most part but after President Trump the (D) have revealed their open hatred of The Constitution, natural rights, and people like me. There is ample evidence for this and there isn't a reason in the world that any US citizen can't see and understand what the (D) has morphed into. There are only 2 reasons to vote (D), you're evil and support tyranny or you're so incredibly stupid that facts just bounce off you.

Absolutely seems that way to me, as well. Not only has the hostility ramped up, but the open embrace of socialist/communist policies is right out in the open. Leftists have "come out of the closet" now and embrace the craziest stuff...

That's the difference. They still hated you and me just as much as they do now. They just wouldn't say so in public. Now they do. Progressives are no longer trying to hide the fact they hate America, what America has stood for, what America has accomplished and her standing in the world. Now they're openly saying how they want to "transform" America into something else, namely a socialist/communist utopia, and if you oppose that you're the enemy. And that all really started with Obama's pledge to "fundamentally transform" the US.

And they're working at it even harder in TX. When TX turns, like CO, things are gonna get really tough for conservatives.
