Hi all - basic question. I want to buy my first AR and have some ideas, but want to get some tips/pointers/ etc.. I don’t want to be that annoying guy who posts the same thing on the forum as everyone else. Which section would you suggest I browse in to start down that path?

Anywhere here would be fine. https://www.ar-15.co/forums/85-AR-15-Specific-Forums

We appreciate your internet forum savvy as far as asking common questions that are searchable. My personal opinion is that we are small enough that we aren't overrun with those types of threads right now and you should feel comfortable asking whatever you'd like. It's the off-season for shooting, so there aren't a ton of gun threads and it'd be a nice change.

As luck would have it this is a pretty laid back place. Other forums like to brow beat the new guys for asking questions that have already been answered. Here you?re likely to get several responses whether it?s never been asked or it?s been asked a dozen times.

But that?s the best time for buying stuff and tinkering with stuff.
