Default 147 gr 9mm COL issue

I went to get 147gr for 9mm subsonic and the only thing in stock were lead poly coated projectiles. I loaded two of them, and they won't chamber when seated at correct COL. I'm using unique powder, and I feel I seat the bullet deep enough to chamber, I'm well below the published COL and appear to have a compressed load.

i can reduce the powder charge to the minimum and wouldn't have a compressed load, but I'm hesitant to do this since I'm worried about excessive pressure. Is this a case where I eat the cost of the bullets and move on?

Lyman load data, Anderson ballistics 147gr HP. I would be close to 1.000 COL to get it chambered

Average on other forums for 147 lead FN is 1.060. But the consensus is HP-38, as Unique is a little smokey. Also mentions a FN may not work, depending on ogive & chamber.

Fiat nose rounds need to be loaded deeper due to a wider ogive. May need to switch to a round nose.

I just loaded up some SNS coated 147 RN at 1.11, and they fit and fire in all three CZs and the Shield. Using 3.4 gr of VV N320.

Try seating it deeper, but back off your powder charge a half grain or so.

If it doesent cycle the pistol or show much pressure, add powder until it gets where you are happy.
